"To the women of America..."—no, make it to the women everywhere: "banish the black, burn the blue, and bury the beige! From now on girls..." (Funny Face)

There was a tiny room in the MFA called Think Pink! I've grown fond of the different shades of this color over the years. I've put away the stereotypical pinks from childhood (which I didn't have much of, thank goodness) and bought extremely light pastel pink, hot pink, fuchsia and dark pink shirts instead. The title of this exhibit intrigued me. I was greeted by these beautiful pink dresses and a room full of fashion decked in different pink hues. Scroll down to see my absolute favorite dress.

I couldn't stop taking pictures of this beautiful Oscar de la Renta dress. I love the intricate details of the clear sequins over the light pink fabric. I love the sheer fuchsia 3/4 sleeves. I love the slit down the back and the feather necklace that matches the dress. You can see it worn here by the deceased Evelyn H. Lauder.

  3. This place is something of my dreams. I really like shades of the color pink (the theme of my room). The sequin and bead embellished dress is gorgeous and reminds me of the 1920s. This is something I want to go see in the future.

  4. Yes, let's bury the beige!!:D My favorite dress is the one next to the black and pink striped one, the one with the dropped waist, it's so perfect for the Great Gatsby movie.:)

P.S.: I thought it was pretty weird when I saw that my nails match the pen, but I found it to be cool so I kept the pen to see if someone else would notice that too - and you did.;)
