Golden Afternoon

The majority of my sunglasses are black. I never leave the house without a pair, just like celebrities. It isn't because I want to be incognito but because I have extremely sensitive eyes. I drive, walk and eat with sunglasses. I turned this disadvantage into an advantage: accessorizing all of my looks based on sunglasses. These cheap glasses from GlassesShop.com sunglasses are my most recent acquisition. I chose brown and golden rimmed glasses which are much different from all my other black pairs. Do you wear sunglasses or prescription eyeglasses?

La plupart de mes lunettes de soleil sont noires. Comme les célébrités, je ne sors jamais sans. Ce n'est pas parce que j'aime passer incognito, mais parce que j'ai les yeux très sensibles. Je conduis, je marche et je mange avec des lunettes de soleil. J'ai fait de mon "handicap" un avantage: j'accessoirise mes tenues en fonction de mes lunettes. Voici ma paire la plus récente. J'ai choisi des branches marron et doré qui changent de mes lunettes de stars, noires.

Fuzzies

This sweater is wonderfully comfortable but each time I wear it, I always find fuzz on my pants. On the other hand, the neckline is so graceful and orignial that it's easy to forget the slight inconveniences. 

These photos were taken behind the wall of my gym, where I go quite regularly. How did I walk by without noticing this huge mural? Being dressed "normally" was a bit intimidating since everyone else was in fitness attire. I went running after though!

Ce pull est divinement confortable mais je récupère systématiquement des pilous sur mes pantalons, chaque fois que je le porte. D'un autre côté, il a un décolleté tellement gracieux et original que c'est facile d'oublier les inconvénients. 

Ces photos ont étés prises derrière le mur du gymnase où je vais régulièrement. Comment ai-je pu passé à côté sans remarquer la grande peinture murale? J'étais un peu intimidée habillée "normalement" quand la plupart des gens étaient en habits de sport. De toutes façons, je me suis rattrapée car je suis allée courir après!

Let's Talk About Sweaters

Bergère de France, a French yarn company, should sponsor my grandmother. Most of my sweaters have been knit by her.

Here are a couple sweaters that you'll find in my drawers:

- The sweater that I'm wearing in these photos took my grandmother no less than a couple of weeks to finish.

- I particularly love this man's sweater because it's large and cozy (exactly like a blanket)

- Nothing is more chic than this creme colored shawl. 

- Once again, I love big sweaters like this one. I also love its caramel hue.

- Last but not least, what's better than a colorful sweater? Do you see what I mean? There is nothing more bright than fuchsia in the middle of winter when snow covers the ground and the sky is grey.

Bergère de France devrait sponsoriser ma grand-mère. La plupart de mes pulls ont été fait par elle. 

Voici quelques-uns des pulls dans ma commode:

- Le gilet que je porte dans ce poste lui a seulement pris quelques semaines à faire. 

- J'affectionne particulièrement ce pull d'homme car il est large et douillet (tout comme une grosse couverture d'hiver).

- Il n'y a pas plus chic que cet étole blanc cassé. 

- Encore une fois, j'aime les pulls amples. Celui-ci l'est mais aussi j'adore sa couleur caramel.

- Finalement, quoi de mieux qu'un pull avec du pepse? Voyez-vous ce que je veux dire? Il n'y a pas plus coloré que le fuchsia en hiver, quand la neige recouvre le sol et que le ciel est gris.

Camel Gold

I couldn't stop staring at my friends outfit, a loose brown sweater with a white shirt layered underneath. It turns out both J. Crew pieces were attached. That's cheating.

When I got home, I immediately decided to recreate the look, for "real". I slipped on my white summer tunic and layered my camel colored sweater, knit by my grandmother. I'm very happy with the result. I like the look of both collars: crew and bowl necklines, which are right on point with the buttoned up collar trend. 

Je n'arrêtais pas de dévisager mon amie quand elle portait un pull ample marron avec une chemise blanche fluide qui dépassait par dessous. Elle l'avait acheté à J. Crew et les deux pièces étaient attachées! La triche.

Rentrée chez moi, j'ai décidé de recréer le look, pour de "vrai". J'ai enfilé une tunique blanche d'été sous mon pull d'hiver, fait par ma grand-mère. Je suis très contente du résultat. J'aime l'association des cols: un plus serré que l'autre qui se marient parfaitement avec la mode des cols boutonnés jusqu'au cou.

Sun Kisses

The off white shawl my grandmother knit for my mom is so sophisticated. With a striped jersey, my outfit becomes chic, even though I'm wearing leggings!

There was beautiful light in the afternoon. It inundated the room, giving my skin a golden allure. I love sun spots on photographs and soft rays that traverse a picture. I am in desperate need of sun and light. I cannot wait for spring and the melting of snow!

L'étole blanc cassé que ma grand-mère a tricotée pour ma mère est tellement sophistiquée. Avec une marinière, mon look devient chic même si je porte un legging! 

Il y avait une très belle lumière cet après-midi. Elle inondait la chambre et donnait des reflets dorés à ma peau et mes bijoux. J'adore les taches de soleil sur les photos et les doux rayons qui coupent une image en deux. Je suis en cruel manque de soleil et de lumière. Vivement le printemps et la fonte des neiges!

Honest T

I wonder where exactly we're supposed to put all this snow that keeps falling, falling, falling forever. I've had enough of it. It ruins my plans and my family's. It cancels or slows everything down.

On the other hand, the snow tests my creativity when taking blog pictures. I can't take as many as I'd like because it is out of the questions to pose outside!! Thus, I take the cold as a challenge to take good pictures inside. It's harder than you think because the lighting isn't always as you want it.

What did you think of my interview with Audrey?

Je me demande bien où on est sensé mettre toute cette neige qui tombe, tombe, tombe à n'en plus en finir. Je suis excédée. Elle gâche beaucoup de mes sorties, et celles de ma famille. Elle retarde ou annule tout. 

Par contre, la neige teste ma créativité, question photos de blog. Je ne peux pas en prendre autant que je voudrais, car il est absolument hors de question de sortir pour poser dehors!! Du coup, je prends le froid comme un challenge pour faire de belles photos à l'intérieur. C'est plus dur que vous ne pensez, car la lumière n'est pas toujours comme on veut. 

Qu'avez-vous pensez de mon interview avec Audrey?

Sometimes, pouring out some tea, mid afternoon, makes everything better.

Mais parfois, il suffit de se verser un petit thé en milieu d'après-midi pour avoir tout comme on veut.

Tranquille

Nothing's better than the little streets in Paris. Colored fencing and mailboxes make me smile. I love the tranquility that emanates from here when walking around. A little cat hugged my legs, leaving a trail of fur. I believe he secretly wants to become a fashion blogger. He was good at it too, pausing for the camera here and there, tail swaying in the air. Unfortunately, he didn't follow me to the apartment.

Il n'y a rien de mieux que les petites impasses pavées à Paris. Les grillages et les boîtes à lettres de colorées me font sourire. J'aime la tranquillité en marchant ici. Un petit chat tigré est venu se frotter contre mes jambes. Je le suspecte de vouloir devenir blogueuse de mode. Il se prêtait bien au jeu, une petite pause sur le rebord du mur ici, la queue en l'air là. Malheureusement, il ne m'a pas suivie jusqu'à l'appartement.
