Lazy Sunday

Esprit shirt, Old Navy jeans, Essie nail polish, gifted necklace, Bijou Brigitte ring

Take the time to do nothing, or next to nothing. Spend a Sunday morning in your pyjamas. Make yourself a hearty breakfast and drink a cup of espresso. Sip tea from a big mug, reading a magazine. Listen to a Spotify playlist that puts you in a good mood. Stay in your PJs all day, bundled up in a fuzzy blanket. Whip up some tasty hot chocolate and watch a movie, sprawled on the couch. Sunday mornings can be as lazy as you want. Not doing anything from time to time is so therapeutic and provides happiness.  

Prenez le temps de ne rien faire ou presque. Traînez un dimanche matin en pyjama. Faites-vous un bon petit déjeuner et buvez une tasse d'expresso. Sirotez une tisane ou un thé en lisant un magazine. Écoutez une playlist Spotify qui vous met de bonne humeur. Restez en pyjama toute la journée, emmitouflée dans une couverture bien moelleuse. Préparez-vous un chocolat chaud et regardez un film, vautrée sur le canapé. Les dimanches matins peuvent être aussi détendus que vous voulez. Ne rien faire de temps en temps procure un vrai bonheur.

Dove Wings

Grandmother knit sweater & scarf, thrifted hat, Khol's jeans, New Look shoes, Rag Vintage sunglasses, Bijou Brigitte and market bought rings

There's nothing better than wrapping yourself up in a grandmother knit sweater. The yarn is soft, like the caresse of a mother. There's a feeling of safety in the yarn. When you wear it, you're protected from the world which can be scary at times. It's quite comforting. 

Isn't this sweater chic? I love the detail of the dove gray yarn, sprinkled with silver strands. I slipped on a couple rings, both boughten in France (one in a store and the other in a marché this summer in Provence).

Il n'y a rien de mieux que de se dorloter dans un pull tricoté par sa grand-mère. La laine est douce, comme une caresse maternelle. On a le sentiment qu'on peut se réfugier dedans pour se protéger du monde qui fait peur quelques fois. C'est très réconfortant. 

Ce pull est chic, n'est-ce pas? J'aime le détail de la laine grise parsemée de fils argentés. J'ai ajouté quelques bagues habillées, toutes deux achetées en France (l'une dans un magasin et l'autre dans un marché provençal cet été).

Red Lip

Chiara Ferragni and I now have the same t-shirt. I find this Dress Gal shirt amusing. The drawing makes me think of comic books or caricatures. I tend to wear either prints or solid colors. However, I like this logo shirt. I'm wearing all of my red accessories, including lipstick, to match the red sequins on my shirt. Do you like these kinds of casual tops?

Chiara Ferragni et moi avons le même t-shirt maintenant. Ce haut Dress Gal est assez rigolo. Le dessin me fait penser à une B.D. ou à une caricature. Je porte plutôt des imprimés ou des couleurs unies. En revanche, j'aime ce haut à logo. J'ai sorti tous mes accessoires rouges, y comprit mon rouge à lèvres, pour reprendre les paillettes rouges du t-shirt. Aimez-vous ce genre de haut basique?

I also received this top and bottom. However, I was not impressed by the quality of the fabric. This ensemble is completely transparent and very thin, which does not resemble the clothes pictured on the website. The top is quite large but the shorts are teeny tiny. Since it was impossible for me to wear this look, I photographed the clothes instead. 

J'ai aussi reçu ce haut et ce bas. Par contre, j'ai été déçue par la qualité de la matière. L'ensemble est complètement transparent et extrêmement fin, ce qui est complètement different de la photo sur le site-web. Le haut est très large mais le short est tout petit et arrive au ras des fesses. Puisqu'il m'était impossible d'enfiler cet ensemble, en voici une photo.

It's Not That Complicated

Certain outfits take seconds to plan. The fashion muses whispered in my ears as I stood pensive in front of my closet. I was in the mood for red, a color I don't wear often. I wore this jacket I took from my mom after our move, along with another vintage jacket. I love the cinched waist which is adjustable thanks to two strings on the sides. I'm wearing a shirt which I received for my birthday last year and my espadrilles, symbols of summer. 

Let's go girls, I'm sending you creative energy to think up killer outfits!

Il y a certaines tenues qui me viennent à l'esprit en quelques secondes. Les muses de la mode me soufflent de mots doux dans l'oreille quand je me tiens devant mon placard, réfléchissant. J'avais envie de rouge, couleur que je ne porte pas souvent. J'ai piqué deux vestes vintage de ma mère après notre déménagement, dont celle-ci. J'adore l'effet cintré qui est ajustable grâce aux cordelettes de chaque côté. Je porte un haut offert pour mon anniversaire l'année dernière et mes espadrilles, symbole de l'été.

Coach, My Love

Lands End vest & shirt, H&M pants, Coach belt, esparilles from French marché, Bijou Brigitte & H&M rings

With the arrival of Fall comes pants season. You have to hold up your skinny jeans, right? It's the return of the thrifted Coach belt, as if new, for $2.00!!! Leather is so pretty and soft. I'd like to find a way to highlight this belt in my looks. Put your ideas in the comments.

 La saison des pantalons vient avec l'automne. Il faut bien quelque chose pour soutenir son slim, n'est-ce pas? C'est le retour de la ceinture fripée Coach, quasi neuve, pour $2.00!!! Qu'est-ce que le cuir est beau et lisse. J'aimerais trouver un moyen de mettre en valeur cette ceinture. Merci de me donner des idées.

Having a blog rimes with taking pictures in hot and humid weather.

Having a blog means that you borrow your brother's baseball cap which annoys him.

Having a blog means taking pictures in a place that you've never been to but pass at least once a week.

Having a blog means that since you borrowed your brother's hat, he asks you (since he did you a favor) to post the picture of him skateboarding that you took in Canada (that he finds so cool).

Avoir un blog rime avec prendre des photos en pleine chaleur et humidité.
Avoir un blog veut dire qu'on pique la casquette de son frère, ce qui l'énerve.
Avoir un blog veut dire prendre des photos dans un lieu où on ne va jamais, sauf qu'on y passe une fois par semaine.
Avoir un blog veut dire que puisqu'on a emprunté la casquette de son frère, il vous demande (pour la peine) de mettre une photo de lui en train de faire du skateboard qu'on a prise au Canada (qu'il trouve trop cool).
