I congratulated myself today for having kept my black choker and not the rainbow one. Black is much more chic. I proudly walked around the Marais, showing off my 10 year old's necklace, while other girls did the same with recently purchased ones. Mine's pure vintage :) You won't be seeing me in Doc Martens or jelly sandals since I don't really care for '90s fashion, except for chokers.

Je me félicite d'avoir gardé mon ras-de-cou noir et pas le multicolore. Le noir est nettement plus chic. Fière de pouvoir reporter un accessoire de mes dix ans, je me suis baladée dans le Marais en remarquant d'autres filles porter le même collier, mais acheté récemment en boutique. Le mien est pur vintage :) N'aimant pas trop la mode des années 90, à part ce ras-de-cou, vous n'allez pas me voir en Doc Martens ni en méduses de si tôt.

Being Older

It was my birthday on May 9th. It was a beautiful day spent with my family and friends. It's a tradition in my family to decorate the table with this fun crown. I always like wearing it as a sort of flower crown instead of leaving it as the centerpiece on the table. Here's to a second Coahcella-esque look! I loved my presents. I got an iPhone which means you should be on the lookout for an upcoming Instagram account!!

Le 9 mai, c'était mon anniversaire. J'ai passé une sublime journée entourée de ma famille et de mes amies. C'est une tradition dans ma famille de décorer la table avec cette couronne sympa. J'aime toujours la porter en tant que couronne et non pas comme décoration. Voici presque un autre look Coachella! J'ai beaucoup aimé mes cadeaux. J'ai eu un iPhone; donc attention car un compte Instagram arrive bientôt!!

I did not wear my belt the wrong way. I'm trying to be different :) Anyways, there's nothing better to make a boring outfit interesting than an accessory. You're probably saying, "yes, but you're just wearing a belt. I have belts too." That's true, I am "just" wearing a belt, but it's twisted sideways. Well, someone had to think of it first!

Je n'ai pas mal mis ma ceinture. J'essaie d'être différente :) Bref, il n'y a rien de mieux pour rendre un look banal plus intéressant qu'un accessoire qui sort de l'ordinaire. Vous me diriez, "oui mais tu ne portes qu'une ceinture. Moi aussi j'en ai un." Effectivement, je ne porte "qu'une" ceinture, mais je la porte sur le côté. Et oui, il fallait y penser!

Despite of the cold weather seeping in, I'm trying to wear all of my summer clothes that I haven't wore yet. My friends at school think I'm crazy when they're in jeans and I'm in shorts. I simply need to make up for everything I didn't bring to California. I'm slowly getting there...

Malgré la fraicheur qui s'installe au fur et à mesure, j'essaie de porter tous les vêtements d'été que je n'ai pas encore mis. Mes amies pensent que je suis folle quand j'arrive à l'école en short et elles en jeans. J'ai tout simplement envie de porter tout ce que je n'ai pas pu prendre en Californie. Je me rattrape lentement...

Chiaroscuro

We quickly took some pictures in the hotel room before the sun set in L.A. It was so hot out that I didn't have any more strength left in me to fight the heat. That said, we had beautiful soft light seeping in from the curtains, resembling chiaroscuro... perfect coincidence after a day at the art museum in Pasadena!

Avant que le soleil ne se couche, on a pris des photos assez rapidement dans la chambre d'hôtel à L.A. Il faisait tellement chaud que je n'avais plus de force pour braver la chaleur. Du coup, nous avons eu une belle lumière intérieure, assez douce, qui ressemblait à un petit clair-obscur... belle coincidence après une journée au musée d'art à Pasadena!

Rust

Simply a walk in the woods with Miki. Feeling the crisp air against our faces, hands red and chapped lips. Enjoying the last little tidbits of fall, winter's rolling around. They say it'll snow next week. Thanksgiving is soon. Who's car is this? "That's a secret I'll never tell. XOXO, Gossip Girl" (any one get it?). I actually don't know who's car this is, thanks for letting me climb on it :)

Une petite promenade assez simple dans les bois avec Miki. On sent l'air froid contre nos joues roses, mains froides et lèvres gercées. On apprécie les derniers moments de l'automne, l'hiver arrive. Ils disent qu'il neigera cette semaine. Thanksgiving approche. C'est la voiture de qui? "That's a secret I'll never tell. XOXO, Gossip Girl" (vous comprenez la référence?). I Am Not A Robot

School started what feels ages ago, it's only been three weeks. I have a whole year to go, how is this possible? I feel like I'm living in slow motion, walking ever so slowly, as if my feet were stuck in cement. My brain collapses when I go to sleep, my eyelids are heavy. Sleeping feels like vacation. I'm saying sorry in advance if there is a week when there's a lack of posting, just note that we'll come back, bigger and better. Patience is golden.

J'ai l'impression que l'école a commencé il y a des années lumière, ça ne fait que trois semaines. J'ai un an devant moi, comment est-ce possible? C'est comme si je vivais au ralenti, marchant lentement, mes pieds enfoncés dans du ciment. Mon cerveau s'effondre quand je me couche, mes paupières sont lourdes. Dormir c'est comme des vacances. Je vous demande pardon à l'avance s'il y a une semaine où il n'y a pas beaucoup de posts. Souvenez vous qu'on reviendra à la charge en plus grand et en mieux. "Patience et longueur de temps font plus que force ni que rage." (La Fontaine)
