Today is also the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, declared in 1999 by the United Nations. This cause is of the utmost importance because 1 in 4 US girls are sexually abused before the age of 16. 1 in 5 young women on US college campuses are sexually assaulted. 1 in 4 teen girls in France are victims of online harassment. 31.5% of Italian girls and women are victims of physical or sexual violence. Today, take action for violence against women, and if it's just using the hashtags for starters, that's already one step forward. The five years of this blog is an evolution of style, personality, blog quality and all of the time I've spent working. It's also about 1500 blog posts and YOU! If I had been told that one day I'd meet a blogger in Paris, thanks to Petite Maison of Fashion, I would have believed it. I am so lucky to share this blog with passionate readers, who leave me sweet comments and messages on Instagram. It's always a little surprising to me that people read this blog, especially non-bloggers. I try and publish positive, interesting and quality content as a way of giving thanks. Thanks to you, I have one of the best communities (not that I'd be biased ;P) in all of the world of blogging. Thanks a million and cheers to this new year!

Soufflez les bougies! On fête les cinq ans de Petite Maison of Fashion et il y a beaucoup à dire!

Aujourd'hui, c'est aussi la journée internationale de lutte contre les violences faites aux femmes, et ce depuis 1999. Cette cause est très importante, car 1 fille sur 4 de moins de 16 ans aux États-Unis est victime de violence sexuelle. 1 jeune femme sur 5 est harcelée sexuellement sur les campus universitaires américains. En France, 1 adolescente sur 4 est victime d'harcèlement en ligne. 31, 5% des femmes et filles italiennes sont victimes de violence. Aujourd'hui, agissez contre les violences faites aux femmes, ne serait-ce qu'en utilisant les hashtags, c'est déjà bien. Les cinq ans de ce blog, c'est toute une évolution de mon style, de ma personnalité, de la qualité du blog, du temps que j'y passe. C'est aussi à peu près 1, 500 textes de blog et VOUS! Si on m'avait dit un jour que je rencontrerais une blogueuse à Paris grâce à Petite Maison of Fashion, je ne vous aurais pas cru! J'ai tellement de chance de pouvoir partager ce blog avec vous, lectrices et lecteurs passionné.e.s, qui me laissez des commentaires attentionnés et messages adorables sur Instagram. Point! Ça me surprend toujours que les gens lisent ce blog, et surtout ceux ou celles qui ne bloguent pas! J'essaie de publier du contenu positif, intéressant et de qualité en tant que remerciement. Grâce à vous, j'ai une des plus belles communautés (sans préférence évidement ;P) de la blogosphère! Mille mercis et trinquons à l'année à venir!

Happy 3 Years Petite Maison of Fashion

Here we are and it's been three years since this blog first started! Happy birthday to you, my readers. Thanks to you, this blog has been getting better and better. It is a source for people to seek fashion inspiration from (I'm always flattered when people tell me this). It is a website of collaboration and of sharing, of laughter, of videos, of photos, of smoothies, of travels and much much love. Thank you for all of these wonderful years and let's make a toast for the futur of Petite Maison of Fashion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Being Older

It was my birthday on May 9th. It was a beautiful day spent with my family and friends. It's a tradition in my family to decorate the table with this fun crown. I always like wearing it as a sort of flower crown instead of leaving it as the centerpiece on the table. Here's to a second Coahcella-esque look! I loved my presents. I got an iPhone which means you should be on the lookout for an upcoming Instagram account!!

Le 9 mai, c'était mon anniversaire. J'ai passé une sublime journée entourée de ma famille et de mes amies. C'est une tradition dans ma famille de décorer la table avec cette couronne sympa. J'aime toujours la porter en tant que couronne et non pas comme décoration. Voici presque un autre look Coachella! J'ai beaucoup aimé mes cadeaux. J'ai eu un iPhone; donc attention car un compte Instagram arrive bientôt!!

The Big One Six

Dear fellow human beings, 

Let me tell you a thing or two about my dear friend Emma: 

A thing: she's awesome

or two: today's her birthday (yes I know a shocking development she's reached double digits)

ANYWAY Here is my little tribute post to my absolute greatest friend in the world:

Dear Emma, 

You are amazing. I swear it's a fact everyone agrees upon (like the fact that saltwater tastes gross or horses have four legs). No matter how down I am or how little sleep I've gotten you make everything seem like it couldn't be better. You make me laugh harder than I've ever laughed, yes, you've made me even pee in my favorite pants. I don't know how I'd make it through the day without you and I can't thank you enough for being so wonderful to me. 

Emma, you've helped me through the hardest days, and these past months of sadness. But they don't seem hard or sad when I'm with you. You are like a little sun traveling through my dark little universe. You dance on down the milky way, leaving a trail of sparkles and happiness (and some cute cats). Yet you also know when I just want a hug, and want to be held. I don't even need to say a word, you just spread your arms and hold me like a mama bird with her baby under her wing. Then when you know its time you lift the wing, shake out some glitter and the hug turns into a dance party! 

Did I mention you are more beautiful than a rainbow unicorn? Your blonde mane and stallion-like posture make you a warrior on the battlefield of beauty; a battle you always win. I feel short standing next to you, like a miniature pony, and I always know dem stallions will come galloping to you.  

(okay enough with these metaphors, I can barely understand my own words....)

What I'm trying to say Emma; is that you are my stars, my moon, my sun, my universe, my closest friend, my comedian, and my world. Technically Emma I love you so much, and I will never be able to thank you enough for being alive and being the greatest friend one could have.

Happy 1st Birthday!!

Today is Petite Maison of Fashion's first birthday!! This blog is our baby, our hard work, our fashion, our humor, our photography and our friendship. Though it's sometimes been hard keeping up, we try our hardest and love that you guys stick with! We remember the first page views, the fist comment, the first link to our blog, the first outfit shoot and there will hopefully be many more firsts!

A big thank you to all of you special followers for stopping by, commenting sweet little notes, you guys should know it means a lot! And since we're curious and it's our birthday, leave a comment saying how you hear of or found our blog! Have a nice day.

C'est le premier anniversaire de Petite Maison of Fashion aujourd'hui!! Ce blog est comme notre enfant, c'est notre travail, nos goûts question mode, notre humour, notre photographie et notre amitié. Malgré les quelquefois où on a eu du mal à suivre, on fait de notre mieux et on adore que vous visitez le blog tous les jours. On se souvient du nombre de "vues", du premier commentaire, le premier lien à notre blog, la première séance de photo et les premiers fidèles qui suivent notre blog.
