This scarf is a godsend with these freezing Parisian temperatures. I feel like I've draped myself in my comforter or didn't get out of bed when I wear this pink scarf. It could be a shawl, a blanket or a beanie/scarf. There are endless possibilities with this stretch of pink fluff. 

Cette écharpe est une aubaine pour les températures glaciales à Paris. Quand je la porte, j'ai l'impression d'être emmitouflée dans une couette ou de ne pas avoir quitté mon lit. Elle pourrait faire châle, couverture ou bonnet/écharpe. Les possibilités ne manquent pas avec ce bout de tissu rose tout doux.

I'm back in Paris for the holidays. Follow my adventures on Instagram with #pmoftravels. It's lovely to be back since this summer. I'm going to stroll around finishing my Christmas shopping, find a summer PR internship, see my friends, spend quality time with my family, eat goat cheese and pastries. How are you going to spend your last days of 2016?

Je suis de retour à Paris pour les fêtes. Suivez mes aventures sur Instagram avec #pmoftravels. Ça fait du bien d'être de retour depuis cet été. Je vais me balader dans les rues en finissant mes courses pour Noël, chercher des stages dans le marketing pour cet été, voir mes amies, profiter de ma famille, manger des crottins de chavignols et des pâtisseries. Integrity

With time, I've realized how much I appreciate integrity and people who stay true to themselves, in their everyday lives and also in fashion. Of course, some people love wearing recent trends but I also like those who have a personal look. Some poeople have had the same style for ages but update it with trends. These two types of people know what they look good in and stick to it, regardless of what magazines say. You need to know how to be who you are: know what looks good on you, what makes you happy and what you want in life!

Avec le temps, je me rends compte que j'apprécie de plus en plus l'intégrité et aussi les personnes qui restent fidèles à elles-mêmes, que ce soit dans leur quotidien ou dans la mode. Bien sûr, certaines personnes adorent adopter les tendances les plus récentes, mais j'aime aussi celles qui ont un look bien personnel. Il y a celles qui portent le même style de vêtements depuis des années tout en le mettant au goût du jour. Ces deux types de personnes savent ce qui leur vont et s'y tiennent, en dépit des recommandations des magazines. Il faut savoir rester soi-même: savoir ce qui vous va, ce qui vous fait plaisir et ce que vous voulez dans la vie!

My hair was particularly curly today for some unknown reason. I never had to use texturizing those beach hair sprays. My hair naturally curls. If I don't do something about it after I shower, I'll end up with little ringlets here and there. What kind of hair do you have?

Pour je ne sais quelle raison, mes cheveux étaient très bouclés aujourd'hui. Je n'ai jamais eu besoin d'utiliser de sprays texturisant à l'eau salée. Mes cheveux se bouclent légèrement naturellement. Si je n'y touche pas après une douche, j'ai une petite poignée de bouclettes. Quelle nature de cheveux avez-vous?

It's such a pleasure coming home from college and rediscovering the clothes I didn't bring with me. As you've probably noticed, I've never worn this shirt before. I got it over the summer at a Zara sale. Unfortunately, the weather chose not to cooperate with me. I was able to wear this striped shirt with my leather jacket to run some errands today. Some people asked me if I wasn't wearing it backwards!

Quel bonheur de rentrer à la maison pour redécouvrir mes vêtements que je n'ai pas apportés à l'université avec moi. Comme vous pouvez le constater, ce haut n'est pas très hivernal. Il date des soldes de Zara de cet été. Malheureusement, je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de le porter avant aujourd'hui parce que la météo n'a jamais voulu coopérer. J'ai pu le mettre avec mon perfecto, que je ne quitte pas en ce moment, pour sortir faire quelques courses. On m'a questionné dans la rue si je ne portais pas mon haut à l'envers, mais c'est fait exprès!

Visions

I'm all smiles because it's the end of the Fall season for rowing. Winter practices are starting soon to prepare for Spring competitions. I love looking ahead. For example, I'm planning where and when I'll be studying abroad junior year. I'd like to spend the summer studying art history and Italian in Italy and then the Fall semester in Paris continuing art history and French. I have so many projects: this summer's internships, travels, collaboration ideas for the blog and college! I need to write them down before I forget!

Je suis tous sourires parce que la saison d'automne d'aviron s'est terminée. Les entrainements d'hiver viennent de débuter afin de se préparer aux compétitions du printemps. J'aime bien me projeter dans l'avenir. Par exemple, je suis en train de penser à mes études à l'étranger pendant ma troisième année d'université. J'aimerais passer l'été en Italie à étudier la langue et l'histoire de l'art, puis le semestre d'automne à Paris. J'ai des projets plein la tête: des stages cet été, des voyages, des idées de collaborations pour le blog et l'université! Il faut que je les écrive avant de les oublier.

Halloween Spirit

Do you want to get dressed in the Halloween spirit without making a fool out of yourself? It's quite easy without going overboard. I wore my new bell sleeve shirt, quite a unique piece, which reminds me of a costume. I waved around my arms to make the fabric sway left to right. Since Halloween colors are black and orange, I discretely incorporated them into my outfit. The orange bag gives some punch to the outfit and will be able to serve as a statement piece in other looks. What do you think of these Halloween-inspired clothes? 

Voulez-vous vous habiller avec l'esprit d'Halloween sans vous ridiculiser? C'est assez facile sans en faire trop. J'ai mis mon nouveau haut avec des manches à volants, une pièce assez unique, un peu comme un costume. Je m'amuse à bouger les bras pour voir le tissu se balancer de côté à côté. Puisque les couleurs d'Halloween sont noir et orange, je les ai discrètement incorporées dans ma tenue. Le sac orange apporte du pepse et pourra facilement égayer un autre look un de ces jours. Que pensez-vous de ces vêtements inspirés d'Halloween?

I could have worn this look on Christmas or NYE. I love this coat, especially because it's vintage and therefore, has a story I don't know about. I like the mysterious side of thrift store clothes. I'd like to know how this coat was worn before it came into my possession. What about you?

Voici un look plutôt chic que j'aurais pu porter pour Noël ou le réveillon. J'adore ce manteau, d'autant plus qu'il est vintage et donc a une histoire que je ne connais pas. J'aime ce côté mystérieux des fripperies ou des boutiques vintages. J'aimerais bien s'avoir comment ce manteau a été porté avant que je ne l'ai en ma possession. Pas vous?

(Sorry for the scattered posts. My grandparents are here so I'm trying to spend the holidays with my family. I'll be posting normally soon!)

Yes, I was delightfully happy today. I spent the afternoon with my best friend walking in Boston. The weather was nice: blue sky and light wind. We walked from the train station to the end of Newburry Street and back. We had a total of 18,000 steps accumulated by window shopping while giggling. We both are staying home for the holidays for the first time. To celebrate, we went to see the huge Christmas tree at Faneuil Hall (which we hadn't seen since we were little), sipped hot chocolate and talked a lot. In addition, I was wearing my vintage Max Mara coat (*happy dance*) that one of my mom's friends had given to me before her move. What a wonderful day.

What makes you happy?

(Je m'excuse pour le peu d'articles. Mes grand-parents sont chez nous pour les fêtes, donc j'essaie de passer plus de temps en famille. Tout sera normal bientôt!)

Et oui j'étais divinement contente aujourd'hui! J'ai passé l'après-midi avec ma meilleure amie à marcher dans Boston. Il faisait beau: ciel bleu et vent doux. Nous avons marché de la gare jusqu'au bout de Newburry Street, aller-retour. En tout, nous avons marché 18,000 pas, tout en papotant, faisant du lèche-vitrine et en rigolant. Toutes les deux restons ici pour les fêtes pour la première fois. Du coup, nous sommes allées voir le grand sapin à Faneuil Hall (ce qu'on avait pas fait depuis notre enfance), nous avons bu un chocolat chaud et nous avons beaucoup, beaucoup parlé! En plus, je portais mon manteau vintage Max Mara (*grande danse de la joie*) qu'une amie de ma mère m'avait donné avant son déménagement! Quelle belle journée.

Imagine [Paris - Boston]

My heart belongs to two cities: Paris and Boston. I live near Boston during the school year and go visit my family and friends in Paris during vacations. These pictures were taken in Boston, last week, before a little afternoon photography exhibit (which I told you about in my newsletter - Herb Ritts anyone?).

Naturally, when these two cities are struck by terrorist attacks, I feel a pang of emotion for both. November 13th and April 15th, Paris and Boston. The Boston marathon in 2013 was an atrocious event. How could something so horrible happen so close to home? Next, this past Friday, there were multiple terrorist attacks in Paris. I don't ask how could something so horrible happen so close to home anymore, but instead, in this world!? Why is there so much hatred? Resentment?

Unfortunately, I don't have any solutions to these problems but I do know something. We need to believe in humanity and in life. Separated from Paris by an ocean, I still was under total shock when I learned about Friday's events. For all those who feel powerless faced with these attacks, keep your eyes fixed on the horizon, filled with hope for the futur.

Mon cœur appartient à deux villes: Paris et Boston. J'habite près de Boston pendant l'année, mais pendant les vacances, je rends visite à ma famille et à mes amis à Paris. Ces photos ont été prises à Boston, le week-end dernier, avant un après-midi expo photo (je vous en parlais dans ma newsletter - Herb Ritts, vous en souvenez-vous?). 

Naturellement, quand il y a des attentats dans ces villes, je ressens un pincement au cœur. Le 13 novembre et le 15 avril, Paris et Boston. Le marathon de Boston en 2013 était un événement atroce. Comment quelque chose de si barbare peut-il se passer si près de chez moi? Ensuite, vendredi dernier, il y a eu les multiples attentats à Paris. Je ne me demande plus comment quelque chose de si sauvage peut se passer près de chez moi, mais carrément dans ce monde!? Pourquoi y a-t-il tant de haine? Tant de rancœur?

Malheureusement, je n'ai pas de solution pour ces problèmes mais je sais une chose. Nous devons croire en l'humanité et à la vie. Même si je suis à un océan de Paris en ce moment, j'ai été choquée par les événements. Pour tous ceux qui se sentent impuissants face aux événements, gardons les yeux rivés vers l'horizon, pleins d'espoir pour l'avenir.
