For the second time in my life, I went to New York City, this weekend. The last time was in sixth grade which means I had to make a trip to the American Girl Doll store. Instead of spending a week in the big apple, I was only able to squeeze in a day. Unfortunatly, I didn't run into Casey Neistat while in Midtown but I still enjoyed the city. A photo diary post will be up later this week so stay tuned. Have you been to New York City before?

Ce week-end, je suis allée à New York, seulement la deuxième fois dans ma vie. J'y étais allée en sixième, donc passage au magasin de poupée American Girl Doll obligeait. Ma visite il y a quelques jours était différente et au lieu de passer une semaine dans la grande pomme, je n'ai que pu y rester quelques heures. Malheuruesment, je n'ai pas croisé Casey Neistat dans Midtown, mais j'ai quand même adoré la ville. Un article avec plus de photos de ma journée sera posté plus tard dans la semaine. Kanye West must not have been thinking about the view from the Centre Pompidou's terrace in Views, but man is it nice. The panorama is beautiful even though cranes blocked the view of the Eiffel Tower. Stunning buildings peek out from the uniform Parisian rooftops. This particular panorama is as amazing as the view from the top of the Printemps. 

Kanye West ne devait pas penser à cette vue de la terrasse du Centre Pompidou dans son album Views, mais qu'est-ce qu'elle en vaut la peine. Le panorama est magnifique, malgré les grues gâchant la vue sur la Tour Eiffel. De beaux monuments jaillissent des toits de Paris uniformes. Ce Paris vu d'en haut est aussi beau que celui aperçu du toit du Printemps.

I'm Back With My Firmoo's

Hey Everyone, 

Guess who's bacccckkkkkkkkk??? The answer would be me, miki, because well Emma hasn't gone anywhere...show her some love. 

Technically for a brief overview of what's gone down: I've applied to college and made it through my first semester of school!!! So I'm back to doing my favorite thing: blogging with my other half Emma. 

The other day I received in the mail a small package that felt light to the touch but seemed valuable enough to contain miles of bubble wrap. After sitting in my room for days on end due to Juno (the very large snowstorm that hit New England this past week) I was so relieved to have such a distraction. Like who can pass up on bubble wrap?? But the true gem lay beneath the layers of paper encased in a sleek case covered in a world map. Engraved on the upper side of the box were the letters F-I-R-M-O-O an eyewear company I am quite a fan of. 

I received these Firmoo glasses and immediately fell in love. They're extremely comfortable and flexible for head size. The colors are vibrant and the glasses are sturdy.

Intellect feat. Warby Parker

Hey Beauties,

First off THANK YOU FOR 50 followers on Blogger!!!! (whoop whoop)

So the turn of brown to green is coming our way, these dead leaves are already being pushed aside by luscious green grasses and delicately colored flowers. The weather has left the 30's behind and each day brings the sun accompanied by the 60's. Already my skin has turned from vampire to red to bit-darker-vampire color. Dresses have reached the front of the closet and sweaters have taken their place in the back. So spring, I can finally say welcome, and god and I am happy to see you! 

This post features my favorite pair of glasses from Warby Parker, like seriously how cool do they look?

I find there is a common thread that glasses make you look more intelligent, I agree, but that does not mean I trust that idea. There is the whole trend of "nerd" glasses like the really big ones that girls wear (though its usually just the fake 3D movie theater glasses) and they say #nerd and I guess it just makes me upset. First off I do wear glasses (I have shit eyesight, like I could easily be considered blind) so this is coming from a perspective of someone who, yes, has been given the name "four-eyes" at points in middle school. Second, posting a picture in large glasses and calling yourself a nerd immediately makes you the opposite of nerd, stupid (not dumb, but inconsiderate). I try to understand the other side of this situation, that it's cute and/or I don't know (please comment your thoughts). But I think the main problem that revolves around this idea is that teenagers (mostly) feel the need to dumb themselves down. The act of posting a photo with a caption "nerd" dumbs you down. Girls think that guys will like them more if they can't argue back in an argument on politics. Guys think girls will like them more if they just have "swag" or are cool, not smart. These are just the beginnings of a few thoughts that I have; but main point is, people don't dumb yourselves down. SMART IS SEXY. You read philosophy and like physics, get with me. You can argue feminism and government issues with me, get with me. Anyway point is, smart=epicness, that's all I have to say for the moment.... <3

These are seriously my favorite jeans like almost ever. I got them at H&M and they are probably 4 sizes to big on me...no joke. But I really wanted boyfriend jeans and they are so damn comfortable! I definitely would recommend a pair to anyone who does not own boyfriend jeans!

Blue Flower At Boston Calling

So I got a new pair of shorts this weekend and I've just fallen in love with them. I got them in one of the new collections at Target for I believe $18. They're wicked comfortable and easy to pair in an outfit. I can dress them up with a button down and jewelry or I can dress them down (like I'm doing here) with a simple comfy shirt. The shirt is from a concert I went to called Boston Calling (their having another concert in September). It's technically a two day concert with ten different artists (five each day) and ITS INSANELY AWESOME! - actually imma do a post about it...be on the lookout for that :P

Yes it's a Boston Terrier with a bowl hat on the shirt.

Yes, most of you probably don't know but I do wear glasses. I usually wear contacts but my eyes have been irritated lately by the pollen (don't ask why I'm in a forest then). So yup...glasses! I'm getting a new pair I believe this weekend so a post will go up on 'em if I do!
