Bleak September

So September here in New England hasn't exactly been a perfect picture of autumn. It's cold. Like much to cold for september. The days have already begun to get significantly darker, and the nights have begun to freeze. The ocean steams in the morning and the fog hangs over the towns like a disease. Now don't get me wrong, I love fall. The color in the leaves, the crisp smell in the air; but it seems to early, and it's so cold and bleak. So here is my tribute post to a bleak september and my favorite outfit and shoot so far.

Rockin' The Streets Acapella

Hey Y'all! I'm back :)
Photos are a coming

So this is probably my favorite look EVER! I love love love high waisted shorts and wolves are pretty damn close to the best animal ever. It's a kinda rocker street style but its got a soft edge (wolf...maybe...). If I could I would probably wear this look every day :P

I'm also currently obsessed with this song. I love Karmin, their music is awesome and Amy has the best style (her hair...omg love). I've always looked up to them in their great relationship and ability to work so well together and make some epic music. Amy can sing and rap and gah I want to be her so badly seriously though she's beautiful and now I'm just fangirling and yeah kinda obsessed over here... :)

The shorts I actually made myself and I'm gonna do a DIY post about 'em soon!! :)

Shirt: Zara
Shorts: I made 'em from some old jeans
Purse: American Eagle

Bohemian

There are many styles that I try to pull of once in a while and there are some that I never will be able to obtain. What I love about my style is that it is a mix of many different styles. Depending on how I feel, what colors I like, what inspires me currently and what the weather is determines what outfit I'll put together. I rarely can pick one style that defines mine, and I like that. I like the fact that I can't be categorized easily. I think the style that I have tried to recreate more often than not would be boho.

I love those outfits that look effortlessly picked out but really aren't, the aspect of summer that they can capture, the flower wreaths, the maxi dresses, bits of Liberty fabric, long beachy waves: all of the cliché aspects of it. It's a hard style to master. You need to have bronze antique chains hanging around your neck with the right amount of pendants, statement rings and bracelets. You need to wear loose fitting clothing that doesn't look saggy but should be flowy and lived in. You need to find the right shoes that complement the look and don't make it seem trashy or clashing. And finally you need to capture the summer feel that most people associate with this style.
