In a Nutshell

It was a Sunday afternoon when I "found" myself in a library bookcase while slaving away at my homework before the week started. What a perfect coincidence. Looking up from my computer, my gaze fell onto a shelf on the subject of wine. There were books on French and American wines, a wine conference catalog written in French, Italian and English; then, alone in its corner, a book about the history of chocolate, next to a one on champagne explaining how it became "typically French". The next shelf was entirely focused on photography. "Parisian views", "Political Uses of Photography in the Third French Republic", "Storia della fotografia italiana", "Images from Italy", "Les documents de la modernité" and many more. Finding so many books next to each other that represented my taste so well was quite bizarre. Needless to say, that this is my new favorite spot to study in. 

C'était lors d'un dimanche après-midi que je me suis "retrouvée" sur une étagère de la bibliothèque, m'acharnant à finir mes devoirs avant le début de la semaine. La coïncidence était parfaite. Délaissant mon ordinateur, mes yeux se sont dirigés vers une étagère consacrée aux vins. Il y avait des livres sur les vins de France et d'Amérique, un catalogue d'une conférence sur les vins écrit en français, italien et anglais; puis, tout seul dans son coin, un livre sur l'histoire du chocolat, près d'un autre sur le champagne expliquant comment il est devenu "typical French." L'étagère à côté était entièrement dédiée à l'histoire de la photographie. "Parisian views", "Political Uses of Photography in the Third French Republic", "Storia della fotografia italiana", "Images from Italy", "Les documents de la modernité" et beaucoup d'autres. Ça m'a fait tout bizarre de trouver les uns à côté des autres des livres qui représentent mes goûts. Autant vous dire que c'est maintenant mon endroit préféré dans la bibliothèque universitaire.
